The second session for the pilot test of the SEAnior Leaders Project‘s environmental programme took place on 16th of November 2023 at the premises of the São Julião Parish Council, Figueira da Foz. Seniors and young adults took part in an environmental education activity, focussing on “Plastic” and its uncontrolled use, as well as the impact of overfishing and the seasonality of fish as food.
We had an ice-breaking activity, the spider game (in which we are all interconnected and entangled), the game of guessing which plastic is in the sea and the various types of fish and the best time to catch them. We ended the pilot test with a cosy snack to share stories and experiences.
