NanoTech Startup partners meet in Portugal to advance the project’s next steps

On 29 September 2026, Future Balloons hosted the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of the NanoTech Startup project in Figueira da Foz, bringing together project partners from across Europe to review progress, discuss upcoming activities and plan the next stages of implementation.

The meeting provided an important opportunity for partners to work together on the development of the project’s main outputs and ensure a coordinated approach to the work ahead.

The programme covered several key areas of the project. Partners reviewed the current project status and management, as well as financial management, before focusing on the development of the Comprehensive Nanotechnology Business Guide. Discussions addressed the next stages of the guide’s development and the work required to bring this important resource forward.

Another important focus was the development of the NanoDay activity and, in particular, the NanoTech Startup online platform and the implementation of its content. Future Balloons, as the partner responsible for this area, presented the work carried out so far and discussed the next steps with the consortium.

The meeting also addressed the planning of future face-to-face activities, public relations and communication tools, as well as the distribution of tasks and the project timetable.

The meeting concluded with a clear distribution of the next tasks and priorities, strengthening the cooperation between partners as the project moves forward.

Future Balloons was pleased to welcome the NanoTech Startup partnership to Portugal and to contribute to another productive moment of European cooperation, knowledge exchange and joint work towards supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in nanotechnology.

NanoTech Startup is an Erasmus+ project focused on supporting researchers, students and entrepreneurs in developing nanotechnology-based startups through practical learning resources, a comprehensive Business Guide and an online platform.
